Over 20 years ago, I was a child living in poverty in Nigeria. My parents had divorced, my stepfather was killed by the government, and my mother struggled to put food on the table. We escaped to a refugee camp in the Republic of Benin, where Amnesty International and other non-profits made sure that we had food to eat and that I got my school lessons. Because of those organizations, we were able to come to America. They helped us when all hope was lost, and I will forever be grateful.
Donors like you supported our dreams and made me the person that I am now—a strong, successful woman living in the US. Now I want to help others in the same way. I need your support and donations to do that.
